18 hits, 10km, and 3 chickens

Saturday was a busy, busy day of baseball, underwear and laughter. A last minute decision to catch the Jays game resulted in the best seats ever (11th row along the 1st base line in prime foul ball territory). Toronto took it to Boston big time (11-0), and Vernon Wells pulled a Willie Mays with a great catch at the wall. Too bad we had to leave early, but I had to drop everything and run.

It took some hard work, but thanks to the generous support of friends and family I raised $1600 to help fight cancers below the waist. In total, 1,000 runners raised $700,000! (check out the full story here) The run was a great experience (even though I got stuck behind an old flabby dude in sweaty mutandi for longer than necessary) and I really think we should get a team together for next year. As a consolation prize, I bought myself some tasty Sangria and spent the night chilling with the usual suspects.

Today we celebrated family and homecomings with a big feast of chicken and corn and beer and wine. Oh how I missed making lunch on Sunday. We ate and drank and talked and laughed until we couldn't move - it was wonderful!

I'm glad I could phone when you were elbow deep in a chicken's bottom. Super tight.
