*** Be forewarned that I am cranky, unmotivated, frustrated, and in an overall shitty frame of mind as I type this. I apologize in advance for being yet another raincloud this weekend ***
I am bored. So bored that all I feel like saying about lunch today was that we had gnocchi (my least favourite pasta ever) and that the conversations were the same old same old. The new Jamie Oliver cookbook I bought didn’t get put to use, and probably won’t for another few weeks until my uncle and cousin come up from Texas. That is assuming nonna doesn’t decide to make cannelloni (or, God help me, gnocchi again).
My mom’s cousin from Italy spent the weekend with us which meant that we spent the weekend entertaining her. The 3 of us went out for coffee on College on Friday and then drove around to see some classic landmarks (Honest Ed’s and Casa Loma). The rain on Saturday kind of killed plans for Taste of the Danforth, but we ordered in Terroni and watched ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ with some friends instead. After lunch today we watched the Olympics (I love swimming) and now I’m waiting for my mom to come back from a walk so I can drive her cousin back to Mississauga.
So it was a weekend filled with absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, gloomy rainy weather, and terrible disposition on my part. That being said, I think I have figured out how to get out of this funk: I need to move out of this house. In order for that to happen, I need a new job (preferably downtown). A new job is contingent on one of the many interviews I’ve been going on to work out. Fingers crossed for Tuesday at TD.
To hold me over until everything falls into place, beer and wings on Monday, Eddie Vedder on Wednesday, and Radiohead on Friday should help. But just to be on the safe side, there will be a house party in the near future.

how does one 'order in Terroni'??
i was there for lunch today.
mmm mmm mmmm!
it was more of a "call ahead and go pick it up" rather than an actual delivery.
the gnocchi are glue alright...they stick to my stomach like paper mache paste!
