My new job is full of acronyms and I continue to rely on a cheat sheet to decipher emails. Each division and branch and term gets whittled down to the bare bones and it feels like I'm reading an eye chart sometimes. There is one acronym that I have learned pretty quickly though: CWW is short for Compressed Work Week. Basically I put in a few extra hours a week and get every third Friday off. It's a thing of beauty.
Today was my first day off but instead of sleeping in I got up just as early as I normally do to fight a ticket I got for rolling a stop sign. But then I met up with an former coworker I haven't seen in way too long and we spent the day getting caught up and reminiscing. It was quite possibly the best way to spend my first CWW day and I'm not sure if anything will top it.
That being said, my next day off is in late August and I've already got a few tricks up my sleeve.
