I am a firm believer in the idea that what goes around, comes around; people get what they deserve, and all that jazz. Apparently I seriously pissed someone important off in a past life because I got put in my place today, not once, not twice, but 3 times (and all before noon). And I don't mean that I got taken down a notch and was humbled, I mean that I got schooled BIG TIME, in person, via email, and in a voicemail.
In my defense, I only did what I was told (and what I confirmed in person and in a follow-up email). Looking back I probably should have had it signed in my own blood just to be sure, but hindsight is 20/20 and I'm nearsighted. Who knows really? The only thing I've been able to figure out/learn from all of this is that there is no rhyme or reason to what happened today and I need to take my lumps, suck it up, and move on.
But that's just my opinion (which, as I have also learned today, is of no consequence at all).
(cheers to the gods for smiling on me and having a cold beer magically appear in the fridge)
