Being the fantastic volunteer that I am, I was invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner (or something like that). It was open bar and while I was getting henna done I had a Chai-tini. One thing lead to another and before I knew it, I was no longer the DD.
We met a guy named John who started the conversation with "not to be all tangentical, but I have been getting into geneology lately..." Thankfully I was already half in the bag at this point.
My personal highlight of the night was one of my brother's co-wokers saying something like "yeah, I've been with a few men in my day. Some wore turtlenecks, others sported the v-neck". It took me way too long to realize what she was getting at.
p.s. the spelling errors were pretty bad in this post (some words even ended up with numbers instead of letters). Oh well, shit happens.
