Yesterday my mom and I went to High Tea with my neighbours. If images of little cucumber sandwiches with no crust are the first thing that spring to mind, you’re not so far off the mark. But there is so much more to the whole thing and it’s actually quite fun. To start, you get a glass of black current flavoured water that is quite possible one of tastiest things I have ever had – so simple and refreshing! There is a set menu of sandwiches, pastries, and scones, and we chose to add some Italian flair and had a glass of Proseco with our lunch. All the food is served at once on this 3 tiered tray and everything looked so perfect and delicious and it all tasted heavenly. The tea comes out bit later (you’re supposed to enjoy the sandwiches with your water and champagne first) and everyone gets their own individual tea pot and strainer to catch the tea leaves as you pour. Oh, and they have a bowl of sugar cubes too. You should check out the whole menu, and one day, on a lazy afternoon, head over to the 4 Seasons and enjoy High Tea in the Lobby Bar.
One of my best-est friends from high school got married on Friday. The ceremony was beautiful (he was grining like a little kid the entire time) and the reception was a blast. Thanks again for making me presentable Claudia, you're an angel with an angle brush.
(I know, I know...we look like an oreo cookie)
