In what has become a tradition of sorts for acknowledging good news, Dave and I went out for celebratory shots of whiskey and pints of beer on Friday. We toasted to 'then and now' in honour of the Sky Dome's 20th anniversary and the reunion of some of our favourites from the Jays 1989 roster (Tony Fernandez hasn't aged a bit and Kelly Gruber is still a gem).
We also commemorated some big new on the job front - I got offered full-time permanent status!!! After 6 long, challenging, frustrating, chaotic, wonderful months on contract I am officially a friend with benefits (and you best believe I will be putting the vision plan and vacation days to good use).
